2015 SEA Games: Kim Swee Hopes Malaysia Is Drawn Into Group A

PETALING JAYA, April 12 (Bernama) -- National under-23 (U23) football squad head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee hopes his team is drawn into Group A in the 2015 SEA Games to be held in Singapore this June.

He said teams drawn in in Group A only needed to play four matches, compared to five for those in Group B.

"I am not choosy on which teams we will face. If we get less matches, it will be better," he told reporters during the squad's third phase central training at Wisma Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM) in Kelana Jaya Sunday.

"As we all know, fixtures in the SEA Games are very packed because each team only has one rest day, just like we had experienced in the 2013 SEA Games (in Myanmar)," he said.

A total of 11 teams will find out their fate in the draw, which will be held on Wednesday (April 15).
