'Mr Badminton' Ready To Face Task Of Reviving Malaysia's Glorious Days In Badminton


KUALA LUMPUR, March 2 (Bernama) -- Badminton Association of Malaysia's (BAM) newly appointed technical director Morten Frost Hansen is ready to take on the challenge to revive Malaysia's fortune in badminton.

Frost, known as 'Mr Badminton' who started work today said he had discussed the task with all the coaches, including coaching method, that had been applied in BAM.

"The (technical director position) is a very exciting job. I love badminton...I hope we (coaching community) will do very well... I come back because it's a great challenge.

"I am looking forward to it and of course we have to look into the short term and the long term planning. We had a meeting with all coaches and it was a very good straight forward meeting," he told reporters at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara, here today.

Earlier, Frost from Denmark, was reviewing national badminton players who were training at the stadium.

Frost has signed a five-year contract with the National Sports Council.
