KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 12 (Bernama) -- Veteran sports presenter Datuk Hasbullah Awang, 63, passed away due to heart-related complications at the National Heart Institute (IJN) here at 12.20pm Thursday.
According to Sportswriters Association of Malaysia president Ahmad Khawari Isa, the late Hasbullah was receiving treatment for heart ailment at the IJN since Feb 4.
His remains would be taken to his home in Section 32 Bukit Naga, Shah Alam.

Hasbullah who started his career as a radio deejay in Radio 1, was synonymous with Radio Television Malaysia's (RTM) sports programmes, especially live telecast of sporting events, namely football, since the 1980s.
He joined Astro Arena since January 2014 as a sports commentator.
Throughout his career as a sports commentator, especially during football matches, he had a love-hate relationship among local football fans for his sometimes witty remarks and overzealous reactions.
