Cai Lin Eyes Medal In Incheon

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- National swimmer, Khoo Cai Lin hopes to bring home a medal at the 2014 Asian Games in South Korea, beginning Sept 19.

The 25-year-old Selangor-born swimmer conceded that she did not do that well at the just-concluded Commonwealth Games but hoped for a better outing in the the 400m and 800m freestyle events in Incheon.

"I'm aiming for a medal in the Asian Games especially in the 800m freestyle event and hopefully in the 400m as well," she told reporters at the launching of Puma's new tagline 'Forever Faster' here Thursday.

Cai Lin said she was back to the normal training schedule under the supervision of national head coach, Paul Birmingham at the National Aquatics Centre in Bukit Jalil after returning from Glasgow.

"I'm free from any serious injury at the moment and it's surely a big boost for me in the upcoming Games," said Cai Lin, the 2007 Malaysian Olympian of the Year.
