Khairul Azhan, Bobby Called Up For National Team Training

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 12 (Bernama) -- National coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee has called up Pahang goalkeeper Mohd Khairul Azhan Mohd Khalid and Police striker Bobby Gonzales to join 23 other players for training.

The 25 players called up for training will report for training at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya on Feb 19, said the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in a statement today.

The squad is scheduled to face the Philippines in a friendly match at the Shah Alam Stadium on March 1, before taking on Yemen in the 2015 Asian Cup Qualifier at the United Arab Emirates on March 5.

The players will be in centralised training from Feb 19 to March 2.

The statement said apart from the 25 who were called up for training, seven (reserve) players were also identified and placed on standby to replace any player injured during training.
