Seven New Faces Among 26 Players Called Up By Kim Swee For Centralised Training

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- Seven newcomers were among 26 players named by Harimau Muda A (National Under-23 squad) coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee to undergo centralised national training.

The seven who joined the squad were Mohammad Nasir Basharuddin from Perak, S. Sivanesan (Negeri Sembilan), Mohd Zubir Mohd Azmi (Terengganu), Muhammad Safwan Hashim (Armed Forces), Ashri Chuchu (Sarawak), Wan Ahmad Amir Zafran Wan Nadris and Muhammad Ridzuan Abdunloh Pula (both from National Under-21 squad).

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) said in a statement that the 26 players would have to report for training at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya, Tuesday.

The Harimau Muda A squad will be taking part in the Bank for Investment and Development of Cambodia Cup (BIDC Cup) from Oct 31 to Nov 10 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia before heading to Amman, Jordan for two friendly matches on Nov 12 and 14 and tune up for the Myanmar SEA Games in December.

The BIDC Cup will see participation from Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia and Cambodia as the host.
