PETALING JAYA: Social media was abuzz following the announcement of the new Cabinet by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Netizens took to Twitter and Facebook to express their views.

Newly elected Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin received positive response over his appointment by Twitter users, who had earlier started the #IniKhairyLah (a play on Pakatan Rakyat's GE13 tagline) trend to garner support for the Umno Youth chief.

“Congrats Mr Bawse, @Khairykj for being youth and sports minister. You're our voice. I hope u will perform well as a minister,” said @AsyrafKhalid.

@fairuzfauzy tweeted, “Big congratulations to YB @Khairykj, excellent choice by DS @NajibRazak.”
In jest, netizen @harrisperalta gave the new minister a tall order to assemble a better football squad for the Malaysian team.

“We want Joe Hart, Vidic, Gareth Bale and Van Persie playing in the Malaysian league and naturalised,” he joked.

The inclusion of six Sarawakian and Sabahan MPs in the Cabinet also received the thumbs up.
“More Sabah n Sarawak representation in new Fed Cabinet!! Even have Yb Faddillah heading the all important Works Ministry!! Congrats!!” tweeted @SWKBLOGS.
