Khairy honoured by Ministerial appointment

PETALING JAYA: Newly-appointed Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said he was grateful for the post and he looked forward to assume the responsibility.

"I look forward to being briefed in the next couple of weeks concerning my duties at the Ministry.
"I am very excited to implement new strategies in youth development as well as ensuring the nation excels in sports," he said when contacted Wednesday.

Asked to comment on Tweets asking if the Malaysian football team would finally go to the World Cup, he said, "Lets lower the expectations a bit," he said. He added he was honoured by the appointment and he would do his best to execute his duties.
