NATIONAL divers Cheong Jun Hoong and Wendy Ng Yan Yee did well to win their third consecutive bronze medal in the women's 3 metre springboard synchronised at the Fort Lauderdale Grand Prix in the United States on Sunday. The pair scored 47.40, 43.80, 59.40, 71.10 and 61.20 for a 282.90 total to finish behind China's Zhang Jun-Qu Lin (311.40) and Ukraine's Anna Pysmenska-Olena Fedorova (293.70) who took gold and silver respectively.
The result makes up for a poor showing from the duo in the 3m springboard individual on Thursday where both crashed out in the semi-finals.
Wendy and Jun Hoong had clinched bronze in the 3m springboard in the third and fourth legs of the World Diving Series in Edinburgh, Scotland and Moscow, Russia respectively.
Pandelela Rinong and Leong Mun Yee had on Saturday won silver in the women's 10m platform synchronised.
The medal was also their third silver of the season after also finishing second in Edinburgh and Moscow.
The Malaysian divers will now head to Mexico to compete in the last two legs of the World Diving Series. Both rounds will be held in Guadalajara on May 17-19 and May 24-26.
